This is a still life on the Dream Kanvas done in class with Georgia Dangle using techniques to do glass, marble, inlay and silver as well as some of the more common textures. The painting is an original composition with aid in the technique only.

Portrait Class

For everyone asking about the "Dream Kanvas", this is a picture of the paintings done on the Dream Kanvas taught by Georgia Dangel (the woman in the red shirt on the right). WDE's missswiss is the woman in the red shirt on the left holding a portrait of her grandaughter Jessica, and me WDE's auntsaunie is front left holding a portrait of my brother Scott. The "Dream Kanvas" is manufactured by Handcock Enterprises. Sizes and prices can be found by calling 1-800-808-9290. The canvases come pre-stretched and are used with a dry brush technique leaving the canvas show for the whites. You do your tracing or drawing on acetate film in sharpie marker, then mount it behind the canvas. The canvas will let you see the drawing and you dry brush your oils on following the pattern. The highlight in the hair are done by erasing the paint with a pink pearl eraser and for deeper highlights a mechanical eraser was used.
